SAPIR buys your gold
The jewel before the weight
Before talking about weight, we appraise each jewel: a signature, a period or fine workshop craftsmanship can give it a value well beyond its metal. For a jewel that will not be resold as such (a broken chain, a worn wedding band, a misshapen ring, a single earring), we offer you the value of the gold it contains, at the day’s rate.
Payment is made the same day, by instant bank transfer or by cheque.
What we buy

Broken or outdated jewelry
Broken, odd or out-of-fashion jewelry in gold, platinum or silver: we take it all, even the most modest. We check the fineness of each jewel from its hallmarks and by testing, then weigh it in front of you.

Coins and bars
We buy gold and silver coins, French or foreign (Napoleons, Louis d’or, sovereigns, Swiss 20 francs…), as well as bars and small bars.
Your questions, our answers
It is the first question we ask ourselves. It is best to show us everything you wish to sell: we will tell you what goes by weight and what deserves to be sold as a jewel. To learn more, see the appraisal of your jewelry and selling your antique jewelry.
We check the fineness of each jewel (9, 14, 18 or 22 carats) and weigh it in front of you. If the price suits you, you receive a contract and are paid immediately. The appointment takes place at our premises, in the heart of Paris.
It follows the gold price, which we update every day. The price per gram is displayed at our premises.
For your jewelry, even broken or outdated: no tax up to €5,000, 6.5% above. For coins and bars: 11.5%.
An identity document and your bank details. And your jewelry, of course.
